Child safety standards
The short version
Nobody under 18 may use Wudd. We do not tolerate any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation, on Wudd or connected to it. We remove it, we close the accounts involved, and we report it to the authorities.
Wudd is for adults only
- You must be 18 or older and legally free to marry to create an account.
- A profile is always for the person who uses it. Making a profile for, or on behalf of, somebody under 18 is not allowed.
- A person on our team checks every photo and reads every profile before it is introduced to anybody. Profiles that appear to belong to a minor are not approved.
- If we learn that an account belongs to somebody under 18, we close it.
What is never allowed
Wudd prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation in every form, including:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, edited or AI-generated material, and links to it.
- Grooming: contacting, befriending or manipulating a minor, or somebody you believe to be a minor, with a sexual intention.
- Sexualising minors in words, photos, voice notes or video.
- Sextortion, trafficking, or arranging any contact with a minor for sexual purposes.
- Arranging or promoting the marriage of a minor.
How to report
- In the app: every profile and every conversation has a report button, and you can block anybody.
- On the web, member or not: use the form at wudd.be/report.
- By email: info@wudd.be. Write "child safety" in the subject line.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the police first: 112 in the Netherlands, Belgium and Morocco.
What we do when we receive a report
- Reports about child safety go to the front of the queue and are read by a trained person on our team.
- We remove the content and suspend the accounts involved straight away, while we look into it.
- We report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the authorities: the Dutch police and Offlimits, the Dutch centre of expertise on online child abuse, and to the competent authorities in the country concerned.
- We keep the evidence that the law requires us to keep and give it to the police on request. We do not share it with anybody else.
- Accounts involved in child sexual abuse or exploitation are removed permanently and may not come back.
The law
We comply with the child safety laws that apply to us, including Dutch and EU law, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement.
